Pillowcase Sewing Day

Sylvia showed the comfort quilt she made for her sister.
Serging, sewing and ironing to make 300 pillowcases.  Sergers made fast work of pillowcase construction.  By 1pm we had run out of fabric, and called it a day.
Stacks and stacks of finished pillowcases.  Many of the pillowcases were made from fabrics generously donated by Textile Creations, Westminster Fibers, Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
Tote Bag Sewing Day

Many bags were made from designer fabrics generously donated by Westminster Fibers.
Sewers model drawstring back packs that will be donated to children in foster care in Dakota County.
Home of the Brave Sewing Day
Jolene organized the sewing day for Home of the Brave quilts, and made quick work of assembling the top by pre-cutting sashing, cornerstones, and squaring all the blocks and making a kit for each quilt top.
About 20 DCSQ members gathered to sew 14 quilt tops for Home of the Brave.
